Alison Willoughby-
Her work is very rough and very experimental. I have been hugely inspired by her work as my theme is 'Rough clown' . I like the way her edges of her material is fraid which I have included in my work, I also like the use of patchwork which I like alot as it looks rough and old and battered looking. I have used her technqiues in my work as it links to my theme the techniques she uses.

Christopher Kane is a Scottish fashion designer. At a very young age he created high street garments such as T-shirts which massively made him popular in the fashion industry. Once he was recognised by Versace, who he was invited by to a Fashion show in Milan after winning Lancôme Colour Award in 2005, he later went on to create collections for Catwalks. My personal favourite is his 'Alice in Wonderland' collection, which I was hugely inspired by when I was creating my High-street collection.

Why is networking media so important and who is it your trying to netwrok with?
Network media is so important as it allows people to meet new people and trade skills, it can also allow big oppatunities aswell.
We are trying to communicate through social media with people that can teach us new skills or people who can help promote ourselves and give us more oppatunities.

Interview someone about life in 1980s

What did you wear in the 80s?
I used to wear tartan jeans that I ripped up to make them look old. My favourite wear black and white tartan jeans. I also wore many of my shell suits that I had my favourite was my yellow and purple one.

What celebrities were popular?
I was a huge fan of Madonna I also really liked Wham I loved their music. I even styled my hair in a perm just like Madonna

What styles were in ?
Punk was pretty popular towards the end but I preffered my baggy clothes.

What colours were popular?
I like illumanus colours, however I changed to liking my tartan and punk look towards the end of the 80s.

This is my highstreet collection, I have kept with my colours from my colour palette, as they seem appropriate for high street fashion. I have tried to be a bit more daring and included a neck piece from my moodboard which I have enlarged and put it onto a skirt. I have also used my harlequin pattern as patterns are quite trendy in high street wear. I have kept simple shape garments as I wanted to include more colour into my garments. I have been hugely inspired my Christopher Kanes garment styles as his work such as his 'Alice in Wonderland' collection could be seen as high street aswell as catwalk. I tried to acheive what Christopher Kane did in his work with mine, by slightly adding a little bit of techniques such as adding a neck piece to a skirt which could be seen as catwalk fashion, however I have used a simple skirt which is high street wear. I like my collection as it is very different and unusual, I tried to be a bit edgy with my look and out there as I didnt want to completely stick to simple high street wear.
