What is a block?

A block is almost like a stencil for garments, it has an outline of a particular garment such as trousers or a top etc.. it contains different sizes. High street deisgners may use this as a template.

What is a pattern?
A pattern is something that can be drawn on then later on can be sewn in to to produce a pattern or can be painted etc.

What is a toile?
A toile is a smaller version of a garment you can practise designs or patterns on?

What is a sample?
A sample can be a section of a garment you practise for what you may include on to your garment.
