What Is A Moddboard ?

 

 

 

A mood-board is a collection of images ,text and fabrics all for a particular theme or phrase or from a particular decade. 

Mood boards include images that you find appropriate towards the theme set for your mood board. They also include text that you may find useful towards helping you with you final design. Another medium to include is fabrics, less is more so a colour palette of about 4-5 can avoid getting confused with to many colours and fabrics. 

Annotations are critical as they tell the observer what you are thinking throughout your mood board. 

Pretty nostalgic

The word pretty implies beauty in almost an innocent way, the word nostalgic gives a sense of unique and vintage feel to it, which over all reminds me of Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe ,a Hollywood glamour look with a slight modernised feel to it aswell as ,during the 1940's women became more independent making their own clothes during the war. Which links back to the word nostalgic being vintage and unique.
